Photoshoot with Sassy Yelp girls
Who knew foodies can model too! :P
I met Hai-yen and Stephanie through Yelp. I instantly clicked with them
because their sarcastic humor.
Few days later, I asked them if they want to do a 1950’s style photoshoot
with me and they quickly replied, “Yes!”
Since Stephanie has thick long hair, she showed up a hour earlier than
Hai-yen. When Stephanie explained to me that she has a lot of hair, I thought
it will be fine and I have a thick hair too. No kidding! Her hair took me 2
hours to finish it.
Hai-yen surprisingly has thin hair so it was quick to finish up her
hair. I did not like the result of the curls so I tied up her hair in a
ponytail. Cute and sassy!
Let’s just say that Hai-yen is a bag of surprises. Somehow she can hide
her foodie’s treasure chest so well. I had a hard time to pick out the dress
that fit her frame. In the end, everything worked out!
The photoshoot was done at the Midvale’s old mining town. I know it is a
popular spot for cinema filming. Also it is very close to where I live.
I love these two ladies are so sassy during the photoshoot.
The style of this photoshoot is not radiant and bright. I am trying to
make it dark with details but soft in a way (maybe I need to open up a dictionary and look for a proper description word).
The dresses from the photoshoot:
Hai-yen's dress - Vintage 1950s Peck & Peck Crepe Pleated Dress
Stephanie's dress - Vintage1950s Du Barry Ruched Bodice Bombshell Cocktail Dress
