Bohemian Wanderlust

I always want to do an ethereal and whimsy stylephotoshoot; bohemian babes wandering through the field with soft and radiant setting.

For this photoshoot, I did a collaboration with another photographer, Thayne. I worked with him once before. He is very experienced (10 years) and a cool person to work with.

Models:

I met Daisy through another photographer, Miranda Bells. Daisy Piedra is one of my favorite model because camera loves her and she is super fun to work with. Also Daisy lives pretty far from Salt Lake City but she is very committed and she doesn’t like people to wait for her. Currently Daisy is trying to get into the film industry so she is intern at a Park City film company. If anyone is looking for an actress, I recommend her 100%.

Christine Behle is one of most difficult model I ever encounter. She doesn’t have much modeling experience. She is a pretty-looking lady but she was making the worry face 95% throughout the photoshoot and she was doing the same pose of bundle herself up. It was the beginning of spring and the weather was around 50s to 60s degree. I do like challenges but I think I hit a wall for this one. I tried to tell her to relax or tell her a joke but her face will go back to the worry expression again. Oh yeah, did I mention that she was an hour and half late. She did tell us that she did not have her phone with her. I felt pretty bad for letting Thayne to wait for us.

Where:

We did the photoshoot next to the copper mine. There is a nice beautiful hiking spot which was perfect for the wanderlust setting. Since I was mostly helping around, I didn’t take a lot of photos. I took some of my favorite photos during the sunset which was around 6pm, the golden hours.

Since this is the first time I ever did photoshoot during a bright daylight, it is difficult to get a perfect shoot of the model without weird shadows in their face or the perfect background. I did try to use the flash but it basically washed everything out. Photography can be pretty frustrating when there is no assistant holding a reflector. :P
